always a little bit

 

had a fast and furious weekend with my parents being here.  had to work all day saturday.  it was awful.  and then d had to work and then sunday was rushed, but we still managed to get the water park in for a couple hours.  not really sure why time literally flies by when they are here.  don't even feel like they were really here and now that they are gone...time stands still.  hate it.  absolutely.





grandma brought lots of baby food for goody baby (that's what m is calling him lately) so, we decided it was time to try it out.  he has had "oatmilk" (again, that's what m calls q's oatmeal) a few times and he is 6 months now.  disbelief.  anyway, carrots it was...he loved them.  ate about half the jar and finished the rest off the next day.  he was pretty serious about his eating as you can see.  or maybe he was confused by the camera and iphone in his face!

 

i was sewing today and m came up wanting to paint.  he has never wanted to do that before despite me wanting him to be crafty with me.  so i said heck yeah even though i really wanted to get those burp clothes made.  i stripped him down to his undies and got out the paints..."thanks, mama!"  "that's a lot!"  "holy buckets, mom!  thanks!"  he was happy.  it made me happy.  we were happy and crafty.  two of the most beautiful things.

added a few items to my store.  am newly addicted to pinterest.  if you don't hear from me in days, weeks or even months it's because i am buried in my room trying out all the new things i have discovered there.  it has made me desire to get a nice camera and make a darkroom and take some editing classes and take lots and lots of pics of my boys.  took me back to my journalism days at clarke comm.  some of my most fave memories of that place.  so, yeah, anyway, all my spare change is going into my "nice camera" fund.
