d left early this am for his show and then for pitt state...he isn't home yet and it's been over 12 hours. poor d and poor me. after shan had a staycation all week, i am thinking i need a vacation or a job. that would give me a reason to leave the house other than to shop.
started thinking about christmas gifts today and what i can make for people. this led m and i to try thrifting today. i only found the dav and it was worthless. was getting m back into the car and turned around to get stroller...all i saw was some jerk older guy laughing and pointing, "it's down there" as he gets into his lexus. ummm...yeah, the stroller was going backwards down the hill through the parking lot. i thought 1) thanks for just watching it roll down the hill and not telling me ass, 2)i will just get into the car and drive down to it (it was pretty far down and m was already buckled in), but then some girl jumped out of a car that was pulling in and was running over to it. then i thought, "she's going to take it" so i get m back out of the car and we go get it together and i am happy to report that she was just being nice and getting it for me. or that's what i want to believe since there are no nice people here. period. i don't like missouri. at all.
which leads me to the fact that after two days of running around and lots of time in the license office, d and i now have missouri plates. no more patriots on the front of our cars...sigh. really, why must i get my car "inspected" and a special letter, lah, lah, lah to get new plates? grr. kansas is a much easier state to live in. oh and you will need your ss card and birth certificate (must be certified) along with current license to get a missouri license. i found all that out after waiting in line for 45 minutes with d and m. fun. i rush home and find my bc and we rush back with 2 minutes to spare before they closed. haha $20 later, i walked out with my missouri license and they kept my kansas one. so i guess all that makes me a missourian technically, but i will never consider this state or town home. although the wind has been nonexistant here. d turned to me in the car the other day and said how he has noticed that there isn't any wind like kansas. i said we aren't in kansas...we are in missouri and this town in full of hills...more like mountains though. i get sick just driving through it all.
did participate in a blog hop this weekend and i am going to scrap once d gets home and takes the monster off my hands. the very cute, cracker eating, applesauce loving monster who doesn't like to give kisses anymore. pics to come.
