other scrappy news...i did the first prompt at category stories...laugh. are you going to do it? you have until the 31st so there really isn't any excuse for you not to. a new prompt will be coming out on the 15th...do both and you get two chances to win our monthly prize. do one and you only get one chance. do both...the odds are better that way. shan called me to remind me about the next prompt...this is your reminder-check category stories on the 15th (or here) and you will be in the know on the new prompt. new things happening at cs, too in the next few months...you have until the 15th to submit for the guest design team call...starting december, we will be going back to one prompt a month...you don't have to upload into the flickr group to be considered for the monthly prize any longer...a new look to the blog. had to wake at 6:30 this am to get ready for a funeral today for d's great aunt. it was a couple hours away...m did very well in the car and during the funeral. was very proud of him. and because he did so good...his lunch was made up of TWO pieces of cake! what a sweetie...literally, i could lick it off of his face. it was nice to be able to be with d even though it was just in a car for a few hours and that he had to make a few work calls. i miss my husband. his job is time consuming and i don't have much to fill my time while he is gone (other than m of course!) so needless to say i miss him. lots. we got home today just in time for him to change clothes and run out the door to go into the office before heading to the game tonight. it was about 45 min away...hope he doesn't get too tired driving home. i worry about that, but he would say i worry about everything. wohoo...end of third quarter...not much longer now. at least there are texts...one of which i sent him earlier that said i hearted him and needed him here to cuddle because i am so cold. he just sent one back saying, "i love to cuddle." no, he doesn't! he was being sarcastic...he can't sit or lay in one spot for more than a minute without having to "adjust." he is like a fish out of water and his son takes after him. m laid down with me last night for a little while because he just couldn't get to sleep last night and man...it was brutal. well, the times when he nailed me in the face a couple of times with his hand, elbow, head. the other times when he just laid there and sucked on his paci were pure bliss. in love.
heading to the N-E next weekend. excited for that. it is p & d's birthdays so a party is in order. it's nice to be close enough to be able to participate in things like this. looking forward to being able to go to the kids' activities now, too. we missed out on a lot being in ks. and we missed them.
need to get to the pumpkin patch....with reminds me that there is a huge festival in town this weekend. maybe we will be able to get out to it tomorrow night once d gets home from yet another game! time will tell on whether or not m will be a dragon for halloween...first time he tried his outfit on he bawled. hoping for a better result the second time. need to get some pics of him taken as well...and some family ones. i hate that i have to start completely over here when i knew of the perfect person in salina to take our pics and where to get their hair cut and thrifting and you name it. in time i will the places here, too, but man i struggle sometimes.
